The
Foundation for God’s Glory seeks to worship,
honor, and glorify the Almighty God through acts
of charity and compassion. It is non-denominational
and organized for spiritual, educational, and charitable
endeavors. It is also a 501 (c) 3, tax-exempt, non-stock
organization based in Queens, New York that supports
Christian ministries here in the US while operating
programs in the Philippines.
History
Foundation
for God's Glory (FGG) was formed based on the
Old Testament disciples'
way of reminding generations about God by assembling
a place of worship called a stone of remembrance.
FGG is a contemporary, living pillar to glorify
God and His love for the destitute in mind, body,
and spirit.
Vision
A transformed community charged by the gospel
of Christ, empowered through social commitment,
and relieved by genuine compassion.
To touch and transform lives, one community
at a time, through a three-pronged approach:
Scholarship; Hunger Alleviation; and Disaster
Relief.
Goals
To develop scholars each year,
to establish feeding centers, and to initiate
relief operations in the economically and environmentally-distressed
urban and rural communities.
Statement of Faith
We
are an equal opportunity foundation. These programs
initially in the Philippines for we believe charity
begins at home, but it doesn’t have to end
there. We foresee that this mission reaches far
across the globe into other developing countries.
God
We believe that there is only one sovereign God,
eternally existent in three Persons:
Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
Jesus Christ
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ. He was
conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin.
He lived a sinless life. His death on the cross
was the perfect sacrifice for sins once and for
all. His resurrection from the dead is the very
foundation of our faith in Him. He ascended to
the right hand of the Father where He serves as
our High Priest and intercedes for believers.
He will come again in power and glory to build
His kingdom.
The Holy Spirit
We believe that the Holy Spirit, the third Person
of the Trinity, possesses all the divine attributes.
He convicts men of sin and serves as the agent
of conversion. As the indwelling force, He is
the source of all power enabling Christians to
live a godly life. By His baptism, He unites all
believers to Christ in one body.
The Bible
We are committed to the Bible as the Word of God.
We believe that it is supernaturally inspired,
infallible, inerrant and is the final authority
for all matters of faith, doctrine and conduct.
It is the main source of truth.
Depravity of Men
We believe that man’s fall into sin left
humanity without the hope of salvation apart from
spiritual re-birth made possible by God’s
grace and man’s faith.
Salvation
We believe that salvation is a gift, initiated
by God’s grace and mercy. It is received
when a person repents from sin and accepts Jesus
Christ as his Lord and Savior. It cannot be earned
through good works, baptism, or other means.
Good Works
We believe that men cannot be saved through good
works. However, True believers will choose to
do good works by the urging of and through the
power of the Holy Spirit.
Baptism
We believe that water baptism by immersion serves
as a living and public demonstration of our faith
in Jesus Christ.
The Body of Christ/ Family of God
We believe that the Lord is continuing to enlarge
His family, the universal Body of Christ, over
which He rules as Head. We are grateful to be
a part of a local church that proclaims God’s
truth, administers ordinances and stimulates growth
toward maturity.
Resurrection
We believe that all who have died will be brought
back from beyond- believers to everlasting communion
with God and unbelievers to everlasting separation
from God.
The Return of Christ
We believe that our Lord Jesus Christ will return
as He promised and this could occur at any moment. |
